Staff were friendly, but we felt the wedding took priority over us. Dinner was included in the price of our room but on arrival was told that the dinning room was full. We went to the bar for a drink after our long drive and was asked if we had booked a table of course we hadn't and they only had one bar open as the wedding party had the other. The food was terrible, we had a roast dinner as it was Sunday but the chicken was dry, the veg were cold and the sauce(gravy) was sweet. My wife's lamb was tough, the veg was cold and the broccoli had flies on it and the sauce was sweet. The young man who had checked us in was friendly and very helpful but I had to remind him to find out about our evening meal, which we had at 5.15. We were supposed to have a bottle of wine with dinner but they had forgotten about it and it turned up in our room later that evening. Our room was ok, although the bed was a twin room with the beds put together and held with a cover but every time my wife turned over in bed all you heard was the twang from the springs. This 4* hotel was one of the most disappointing hotels we have stayed in and would not give it a 4* rating.
