We had a lovely time at the Windsor Mansion Inn over New Years! Andy was incredible accommodating and friendly to make our group feel right at home. The beds were very comfortable the the rooms were spacious. The mansion is gorgeous. Yummy breakfast too. We hope to stay again!
Stayed here for just one night but I was really happy with my experience! Andy was super friendly and helpful. The room was so cute and clean! Would definitely stay again.
Andy is an outstanding host; extremely kind, welcoming and very knowledgeable of the history associated with the mansion. The property and the area are gorgeous! We will definitely be going back!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this historical inn. Andrew, the Inn Keeper, is a wonderful “people person” who cares about the comfort of the guests. His “continental” breakfasts were more than that- one day being a scrambled eggs /potato mixture with local sausage, rolls ,juice, and grenola yogurt with fruit. He knows the area and can give you great tips. Ski areas are close and a visit to Woodstock is a nice side trip. We did some snowshoeing (a snowstorm hit one day) around the neatby lake and were able to have an enjoyable time and meal at the close-by Harpoon Brewery. The inn itself has assorted games and books if you just want to spend some time relaxing. We think you’ll enjoy yourself and we again should emphasize that Andrew will be someone you’ll be happy to know.
We were thrilled with Windsor Mansion Inn. The hosts are exceptionally wonderful and the building is cool and snuggly. After two days of skiing, there was nothing better than taking a hot bath in the huge tub and reading by the fire place. Definitely would recommend
Lovely lovely place to stay. The beds are comfortable, food and beer on-site from the pub is very good, and the fireplace area is so cozy. The standout here is the owner--he is amazing.
Grand old mansion, fully renovated. My room was spacious, sunny with great views, well-lit, electric fireplace, soaking claw- foot tub. Andy the innkeeper lit an evening fire in the entrance hall and kept up banter in the pub. Common are had Keurig, hot water for cocoa and tea. Good food locally at Harpoon brewery, and at Windsor station.
Such a quaint and charming place! An absolute gem! The staff was so incredibly welcoming. The service went above and beyond expectations. We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. We'll definitely be back and can't recommend this place enough. If you want a true hallmark experience you will not be disappointed.
I loved my stay here, it was so quiet, peaceful and the owner was just really pleasant to talk to. We had dinner a couple of nights here when we didn't want to go out in the cold and just enjoyed the fire and hanging out, whether reading or talking. The room was so quaint and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed! I slept so well.
We loved our stay at the Windsor Mansion Inn the weekend after Thanksgiving. Andy was the most gracious host and shared interesting stories of the history of the property. Andy also was a great tour guide, giving us tips on restaurants and things to do. The mansion, rooms and scenic setting make this a great spot for a getaway. We also enjoyed a homemade chicken pot pie dinner at the inn which was delicious, and the wine and beer selection on site was great too. We will definitely come back and stay again.
Couldn't have been better! Super comfortable, room was warm and cozy, bed and pillows were just what i like. Place was just as i hoped. Andy was a delightful host! I would recommend and come back!
We reserved a room and twice I needed to speak with the Inn regarding special issues, including letting them know the day before arrival we would not be coming--(for their own benefit!) There is no communicating with this Inn. I tried calling: voice box full. I tried emailing through expedia, no answer. It was a horrible experience and I didn't even stay there altho I am getting emails from them telling me thank you for coming and they can't wait to see me again! Awful awful
Wonderful old mansion beautifully situated.
Andy the innkeeper makes this place special. He is knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and a true pleasure to simply chat with on our way through the lobby.
The grounds are beautiful, easy to imagine how wonderful a wedding would be here. Almost directly across from the driveway Andy pointed me to a trial head to a 900 acre state park with trails along streams and views of the lake. Wonderful way to start a chilly morning.
We will definitely be back!
The Inn Keeper/ Owner was friendly and helpful in many ways in particular he changed our room because my husband had had a knee replacement. I also listened to him assist others with suggestions for day trips which included fine arts and outdoor fun.
The ambiance was perfect.
