Pretty good
Stately looking hotel, ideal as a wedding venue. Room was good size but bathroom was particularly small and shower almost useless. Evening meal and breakfast were both good without being exceptional. Service was friendly but lacking efficiency.

Stayed for 1 night check in easy room was nice bed comfortable. Shower was poor however for an old building can be expected but bathroom itself could do with a lick of paint, mold ect. Got a good night sleep quiet room. Food was excellent however service poor. Expect a wait as was busy but waited 30 minutes after our booked in time for someone to take our order. Also on a number of occasions staff walked passed our table nobody asked if we wanted a top up of drinks. Went to bar area but was no staff anywhere. Gave up in the end and went to bed. Breakfast was excellent as was the service. Overall food was top notch but let down by poor service. Room was adequate for what we needed as only staying 1 night.

Excellent from start to finish
Well what can I say apart from it being absolutely spot on from start to finish. Warm, friendly staff. The food was something else! Quiet and comfy bed and being right on the side of the A595, nice and easy to get to.

Good stay
A grand building in the countryside. Amazing breakfast. Comfortable beds. Fast and free wifi with no password or captive portal. Plenty of parking. Would have liked a desk in the room. Electric shower only, which was a bit mouldy.

There was a function the night we stayed there. I think they should have kept enough parking for hotel guests so you didn't have to walk thru the total parking lot. Planned on eating dinner there When we arrived they told us they weren't serving diner, because of this function. Sent an email the day before. Could have informed you earlier

We stayed here for one night. The hotel was very beautiful and the staff were outstanding. Very helpful and able to cater for any requirements. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Hood hotel in good location
Excellent hotel in good location between the Lakes and Carlisle. Service good and evening meal on mid week deal was very good. Room was fine but the taste of very fresh paint a bit overbearing. Bare floorboards - much prefer carpet. Bathroom small with a tempremental toilet flush.

Beautiful stay! Highly recommend!
Amazing stay at greenhill! Lovely building super clean! Rooms amazing! Also loved the fact they allowed digs as we had ours with us too! Bedding changed daily! Biscuits and yea/coffee/water in rooms was a lovely touch! Breakfast really good and we had an evening meal one night which was equally as nice! Would definitely stay again!

Great stop over hotel.
Glorious old house with period features and great views and garden. Very clean, good food with sensible pricing. Only stayed the one night but would have stayed longer if we had the choice.

Stayed one evening to break up journey to Scotland - was a good 19 miles from the M6 - nice and quiet. Booked a family room - which was a great size. We arrived at about 10pm - but the night Porter soon sorted our keys and then served us a drink at the bar before we retired for the evening. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Breakfast was spot on. Couldn’t fault a thing. Would highly recommend.

A lovely stay with my family and pet dog. The room and hotel was absolutely lovely as well as the breakfast, the breakfast was great especially before a big trek! The staff were lovely and helpful and I look forward to staying again!

Lovely stay here, staff were really helpful and friendly, free parking on site and the food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was fantastic. Room was clean and comfortable and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it.
