Standing 44 feet atop a large Boulder at the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas Rivers is the Keeper of the Plains. Designed in 1974 by Comanche-Kiowa artist Blackbear Bosin, the sculpture has since become a symbol of the city of Wichita.
