The staff are the best, the rooms are clean and welcoming, the breakfasts are superb, the bar has a nice cosy and relaxed vibe and it's a good location if you're planning to hike around the Lakes. "Breakfast was very good and there was lots of choice. We ate at The Wheatsheaf on the second evening; the place was full and the service prompt. It wouldn't be a good place to stay if you're not good on stairs as the accommodation is on the second floor, but staff took our cases up for us and a fellow customer carried them down, so we were very grateful. The room was clean and spacious and the carpark was just across the road so it was a very nice stay. "
