"The staff was friendly and the breakfast was pretty good. The building itself looks worn but clean. I did get a full size bed that they told us was a queen. The room looked like it was missing a bed too. It was very cramped for two full size people to sleep on. The toilet didn't always flush and the ac was really loud. Overall it was an ok budget stay with the exception of the bed issue. That sucked."

"The Cyrus Hotel is in a great area of downtown in walking distance to the capitol and restaurants including The Weather Room which is in the hotel. It is nicely decorated with comfortable bed. The only thing you should be aware of if you have a car is that you pay $14 per night for parking. The parking garage has hotel spaces from floor 8 and up and will have to walk across an alley to get back to the hotel. If you do park, be sure to keep one room key after you check out or you won’t be able to get into or out of the garage when you leave."

"The shower head was a rain one and not everything sprayed and the pressure wasn't very good. Otherwise the room was nice and clean, very comfortable."

"This room was spectacularly overpriced. I recognize that there was a lot going on in Lawrence this weekend. But, jacking up the rate to over $500 for a $60 motel room was not ok. There was spackle in the bathtub. The lamp socket was hanging off the lamp. The desk chair’s fake leather was peeling and the couch was threadbare. The mattress was as thin as an 80s fouton. Staff were lovely and kind. Room seemed clean despite the disrepair. If it had been $60, it would have been fine."

"Tidy room, decent breakfast. There for a conference. Not sure if I would pay for breakfast there otherwise when there are so many independent and interesting breakfast places in Lawrence. However, the Cold Brew martini at the bar as a nightcap was exceptional!!"
