"The hosts at Villa Venusta were warm and welcoming making us feel right at home after a long journey. A lovely room with a nice terrace to sit outside. A very comfortable bed, everything was spotlessly clean and shiny. The breakfast was delicious too. We loved how close the property was to the well maintained cliff path offering an easy stroll into town. Thoroughly recommend."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. A beautiful and well kept property. Secured parking inside the gate. We had an upstairs room (no elevator) and had help getting our luggage up. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large. The balcony with the ocean view is worth the extra cost! Walking distance to town with all kinds of stores. We ate at Cafe 1904 and the oxtail (a common dish here) was outstanding, better than at Cape Town. When present, the staff was very friendly and helpful…took a star off only bc everyone disappeared after we checked in and didn’t know where to find them for questions. Breakfast was very good, eggs made to order. S small heated pool but we didnt get a chance to experience. We would come back! "

"Lovely hotel right on seafront - I had a pool facing room but great facilities for a self catering stay with washing machine and dishwasher installed. Very clean with comfortable bed and lounge areas. Staff were very friendly and helpful. "

"The room was beautiful and clean. The view of the ocean was stunning. We did not partake in breakfast so I cannot comment. The staff was pleasant but not prominent. We felt like it was more of an air bnb as opposed to a hotel. Very quiet after nightfall. Had good sleeps. Walk into town was about 7 minutes along the ocean walkway. Beautiful. Our main complaint was no labels on the wonderful lighting switches. You have spent a lot of money on beautiful lighting, it would be nice to let the guests know what turns what on! Thanks for the lovely stay. "

"Great staff and location, but room, breakfast and facilities were lacking - did not feel like a 5 star hotel. Our bedroom was often damp, the carpet had wet spots and 1 day our bed sheets had wet patches that we had to blow dry. The bedroom was also directly next to a roundabout so heavy traffic and no privacy to see the views / needed more sound proofing. "

"The place was very clean and spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and big balcony. The kitchen was well equipped with a dishwasher, etc. The air conditioning was nice upstairs in the bedroom but there was none downstairs in the living room and dining room. The breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh. It was great being connected to the mall where you could shop for groceries, liquor, etc. There was also secure underground parking included and helpful porters to show you where to go."
