"My wife and our 9 month old son stayed in a King suite on the Somerset St. part of the property and had a really nice stay. The room was beautiful and the bed was actually comfortable (a statement I rarely make regarding hotels). All the cooking utensils and appliances appeared virtually brand new, so new that it smelled like the oven hadn't actually been used yet and still needed to be "baked off" which was perhaps the only let down. Access to the beach was super easy and we were fortunate that previous guests or ownership had left beach chairs and a wagon which we took advantage of on the first-come basis. The pool was small, but since there are only a handful of rooms it's not a serious concern. The staff, which is limited to housekeeping and maintenance in the morning to early afternoon, were all really friendly in our passing interactions. The property is located north of most of the dining and nightlife so expect a bit of a walk to most restaurants and bars. Would gladly recommend a stay to anyone looking for a quieter experience in Clearwater Beach!"

"Overall great time staying except for the last day when the front desk was SUPER rude to us over the phone over a booking mistakw . We were going to book another night , but after her rudeness we decided to leave after all. Very disappointed…. A hotel is all about hospitality but she made us feel unwanted. "

"Booked and paid for a reservation at this property weeks in advance through Expedia - flight delayed we arrived around 2:30am host was helpful but immediately asked for my credit card - I explained room was paid for through Expedia - he said card was declined.. expedia's payment? spent over 30 minutes on the phone with Expedia ( at 3am now,) said I would have to call the next day - This Hampton would not let us stay without charging my card again - we left - nowabout 3:15am. spent over an hour the next day on the phone with Expedia to get a refund since we did not stay and no one was able to figure the situation out while we were standing there.- spoke with a very helpful Expedia agent who tried unsuccessfully to get the manager of this Hampton to issue the refund - this manager instead lied and said we were no shows. Expedia kindly refunded anyway due to the notes left during the 2:20m call while we were standing in the lobby- Long post I know, but beware - I am not sure of the angle being worked here by this Hampton Inn, but the customer service by the manager was awful. "
