Perfect place to stay while enjoying Macroom, placed in the center of town. We walked everywhere! I would say that when we left, it felt like we were saying goodbye to family. "A surprising bit of luxury in a small guest house. We stayed at the Glen Quarter for one night at the start of a coastal tour, but now I kind of wish we'd booked two nights instead. Our stay fell on a Tuesday night in the off season, so I feel like we barely sampled the charms of Kinsale and now I want to come back for a longer stand (this happens A LOT in Ireland... Charming smaller towns feel so welcoming and familiar, but are eclipsed by the glamorous bigger cities). But back to the Glen Quarter... Where we found a patient host awaiting our arrival to get us settled in modest-sized but wonderfully appointed room on the first floor. Everything you touch, from the furnishings to the soft mattress to the thick oversized towels, has a luxurious feel, and the new, modern bathroom is gold-standard in design. It's a lovely room and we had a great night of sleep. I'm just sorry we're moving on today."
