"I took my mom, son and small dog to visit Kern River for their first time. Both of them were weary of tent camping, so we decided to stay at the Kern Lodge. The room had the feel of a cabin and was very simple. Bed's were comfortable, room came with Keurig, coffee pods, small fridge, microwave, shampoo, body wash. The hotel grounds were very cute. There was a courtyard with a bonfire pit, there was a giant chess board, giant checker board. The walls are not thin where you hear everything going around outside. James Store was walking distance, Pizza Barn was walking distance. The front desk was helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here and we will be staying there again next year."
