"The property (houses on Easter Side) has big issue with the three-phase power input. Finally, we spent our night without electricity (two basic lamps were provided instead for the room and bathroom). The electric generator was not reliable - lights were blinking all the time. I didn`t want to charge my electric equipment when the generator was used (didn`t want risk damaging items). The breakfast was rather basic. The rest of the experience was OK.
It was the only only one property we visited...

And they were just sorry, we forgot to take the disinformation from the site. They haven’t had the gym since this January.

"This is a great place to relax, but there is not a lot to do at the hotel or within walking distance. The plunge pools with villa are fantastic! Due to the tides in the area, you can only swim in the ocean at high tide, and the water has a lot of seaweed.
The restaurant is amazing, we really enjoyed all of our meals and the staff were always friendly and helpful."
"AVOID, stay away! Firstly the location is wrong, 30 USD to get to the next town by taxi. The Road to the hotel is terrible, extremely bumpy. Beds are hard. This is not a four star hotel. Food is bad. Save your money, go somewhere else."

"The Lawford was a lovely place to stay in Malindi. The 3 bedroom villa and private pool were amazing. Large upstairs and downstairs lounge areas. Lots of space for everyone. There was a full kitchen with all the pots, pans, utensils etc. Service was great. Staff were delightful. Had fun with pool and table tennis. We would live there, if we could! Our neighbors were a bit loud but management tried to help with the situation. The beach is close but the water was brown and not “inviting.” There is a river just north that drains into the ocean right above the property. We would definitely visit again!"
