Hotel check in was lengthy and extensive. Due to system complications and eventually having housekeeping check the room for cleanliness - I waited for over 20 mins to check in.

We were satisfied with this hotel but not wowed. Most importantly the room was fine and the bed in particular was comfortable. Everything worked and there were no issues. I found the lighting to be a bit dim, especially given the small window. We really liked the good-sized shower. Given a choice we would prefer a “comfort height” toilet. The breakfast was a bit scant in terms of what was available for continental offerings — no fruit for example. Price of parking —$39 per day seemed excessive.

Definitely did NOT have a 5 star experience in this Hilton hotel. The A/C and bathroom extractor did not work and I had to argue about the A/C for there to be a solution. There’s also no parking at all, if you don’t pay for valley parking. I’m very disappointed because for $244 a night I expected to at least enjoy my stay.

The only complaint we have is the sheets were to small for the beds. The corners of the fitted sheets came off the mattress while sleeping.

Paid $80 for 2 nights of required valet parking. Valet seemed annoyed that we didn’t know when we would need our car again because the lot was small and they had to shuffle cars around. Also was given a handicap room without notice. We would have been fine with that but the shower required extra instructions we did not get. Also it’s nowhere near National Harbor. Would be deceiving if you didn’t know.

We had a one night stay while in Alexandria for a musical event. The hotel was a ten minute walk from Amtrak, and a lovely twenty minute walk to the Old Town harbor, through a beautiful neighborhood. The room was spacious and quite clean, and the bathroom and shower were perfect. It was a quiet Saturday night for sleeping. A perfect choice all around.

This was described on Expedia as dog friendly yet they charge a $50 automatic cleaning fee for service animals. I believe that is illegal.
