"Oceanfront room is the reason why we chose to stay here, and it didn’t disappoint. The property is in very good condition. Now there is some weather related wear and tear, but the property takes on frontal assault from weather system coming in from the ocean so I wouldn’t ding it. (Eg, some rusty spots on the balcony). Staff is accommodating. Room is spacious and clean. And we love the chowder in the evening. Great gesture."

"My little weekend getaway was made perfect because i have picked to stay in this little coastal gem. The staff was very friendly, and they keep this motel clean. It cannot be compared to big chain hotels because this building is older and it shows wear of typical property battered by coastal weather. What makes it much better is the feel of home away from home. Our room had everything we needed - microwave, coffee maker, TV, refrigerator, comfortable bed and shower with surprisingly strong water pressure. They welcomed our dog, we enjoyed sitting on the huge back patio in their adirondack chairs overlooking large grassy field leading to steps to get to the beach. There was always fresh coffee in the office and friendly chatter."

"The location of the property is great! Conveniently located near shopping, local restaurants and beach access! All staff we encountered were so nice, knowledgeable of the area and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. If you plan on being in the room a lot you may struggle with limited amenities in the rooms, but all the basics were there and let’s be honest the best things on the coast aren’t in the hotel room, they are on the sandy shores and historic bay front. My only negative complaint is no hand soap in the room and a few more hangers would have been helpful. All in all we love staying at the Waves hotel."
