The hottub was empty sitting by my room, so unable to use that. "We spent 1 night on Vulcano in the really nice Pensione La Giara. It is conveniently situated on a relatively quiet street on a little over 5 min walk from the port, and on route to the path ascending to the vulcano.
We were in two neighbouring bedrooms with shared bathroom for both rooms, which was perfect for our family of four.
The owner on arrival advised on the trip up the vulcano and on nearby restaurants.

"Posto molto bello, ma andrebbe rinnovato. Soprattutto il costo del soggiorno è troppo elevato per i servizi offerti. Basti considerare che nonostante la tariffa della camera sia molto alta, si paga l’accesso alla piscina.
Inoltre manca internet e la pulizia dell’abitazione è ogni 4 giorni.
Infine assurdi i prezzi del bar: 16 euro per un pane cunzato minuscolo.
In conclusione posto dalle grandi potenzialità. Serve una gestione più attenta. "
"This was a very good hotel with a lovely swimming pool and the added bonus of a jacuzzi. Cleanliness was excellent with rooms being serviced daily to a high standard. Breakfast was good and all staff friendly and welcoming. The complimentary shuttle bus to the port was a nice extra."
"Great location and views, however incredibly overcrowded communal areas during the day (pool oversubscribed, reception cluttered with early arrivals). The room was spacious however incredibly damp and humid, noticeable on every wall.
