Lewiston Trip

I did not like the ideal of the microwave was not in the room, no ice machine on the 3rd floor, the face bowl was outside the bathroom, no room service, unless you requested it.

The hotel was clean, nice and neat power outage went out for a day. I got credit for two nights very accommodating.

My daughter and I were in town for UB orientation, and I changed our reservation last minute to The Richardson because I wanted to be close to Elmwood neighborhood and Shakespeare in the Park. We were able to walk to both, and The Richardson is such an interesting building and has beautiful grounds. We had a king bed, and it was wonderful and very comfortable, great bedding, clean bathroom. We didn't eat at the hotel, and I wish I had a little more time to explore. The staff was kind and welcoming. And our room, at least, wasn't haunted.

The breakfast was incredible, the room was cute and the staff was attentive! The only thing that would have made it better was if I could have stayed longer!

Large pieces of broken glass on the floor outside the closet. Room carpeting was noticeably unvacuumed with plastic tags on the floor from new clothing of previous inhabitant. The safe was also not working. Called the front desk, described my issues, requested another room. Desk manager came up, apologized, handed me a key for a room on a different floor. I showed him the glass he really didn’t care so much nor did anyone help us move to the other room. We made 2 trips, no big deal. Not cheap but relatively not expensive, comes with breakfast, there’s a shuttle for restaurant travel, but the hotel is very tired and staff is touch and go. No housekeeping or water bottle replacement on Sundays. It’s a bargain for families with young kids because of the breakfast. No one should ever have broken glass on the floor of their room.
