I liked to stay this hotel. I felt I was in the old era. Also I liked the morning breakfast because I sat next European travelers, by the way I am Asian :) One thing I didn’t like the attached small mirror inside the bathroom. It might be moved to right side instead of left side- depends on preference-I was stayed in twin bedroom. It was fantastic and thank you for staff.

Excellent hotel BUT air conditioning was not available to regulate the room temperature. They claimed the first week of April was not the season to operate it and no control remote was provided, so the room was hot overnight with the need to open windows before going to sleep. Otherwise excellent place, buffet breakfast very good.

Hotel Kärntnerhof is a wonderful place to stay in Vienna. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. The building is very old but well maintained and pristine. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Kärntnerhof.

The hotel was great. The staff was amazing. They recommended the hop on hop off bus tour and I’m so glad we did it. I loved the location because it was within walking distance to every place we wanted to explore.

Had a great stay at Hotel Kartnerhof, at the recommendation of my sister, who stayed there earlier this year. Stayed in the Dom Suite, which was perfect for a family of four. Great location, walkable to everything! Excellent breakfast, helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.

My stay had many positive points. The room was ready when I arrived before 1:00 PM, it was clean and quiet, the elevator worked. Breakfast was tasty, with a different pastry every day. Walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and stores. The single room is tiny, but I had stayed in similar ones in Europe. One unpleasant thing was that I booked a taxi through the hotel to take me to the airport. One of the employees even seemed to know the driver. The price I was told was 40 euros and I even confirmed it with the driver. However, when I gave him a 50 euro bill, he refused to give me 10 back.

Great stay
Everything was amazing in this hotel. Staff is friendly, they helped us with parking (they have a big parking lot next to the hotel), the room was beautiful with a true Vienese style, breakfast in a very beautiful room full of charm. It is two minutes away from Stephansplatz.

This hotel was amazing for my solo trip. As a young blonde female I was a little nervous. The twin room was perfect, clean, hotel and location felt very safe, and the breakfast was a plus -though you’ll need to make your own coffee with the machine! I skipped since there are so many amazing local options. Hotel staff were all very kind and helpful with my questions. They held my luggage the day I checked out so I could wander the city some more. Would stay here again!!

The ambiance of the Hotel was really nice, friendly and efficient. Everything was excellent except that the bathroom had very slippery tiles, on which my wife fell and injured her back.

Best Stay Ever!
My family of 4 (2 adults 2 children) had such a fun time in Vienna and much of it was due to the excellent stay at Karntnerhof. We stayed in the Madame Rosa Suite (which is perfect for traveling with children). Aside from the great room, the service was just really fantastic. Arik who manages the place was SO fantastic and accommodating to any need we had whatsoever. He really helped make our stay so enjoyable. And had fantastic recommendations and answers to any questions we could have. You never know what you'll get with smaller boutique hotels, but this one really is a gem and they are lucky to have someone like Arik running it. We will be recommending this hotel to any of our family and friends traveling to Vienna and will for sure stay here again when we return. Also--the breakfast is amazing. Very clutch to have that when traveling with kids--we knew they'd be well fed at the start of each day out before we left on our daily adventures. Thank you Arik and Karntnerhof for such a fantastic time!

Centrally located, walkable to many sites and to public transportation. Very friendly staff, very comfortable. A great 3 star hotel (wouldn't expect the amenities of a 5 star hotel) good value considering excellent location. Decent breakfast, no restaurant but close to many options. Rooms quaint - some might find them small, but perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable.

A fantastic gem in the city center. I was traveling alone and chose to stay in a single room. Simple but perfect with a nice bathroom. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. It was more than I had hoped for - I would stay there again.

Very quaint and affordable. The staff was most courteous and helpful. Great breakfast to start the day. Transportation ( tram and subway) was about a 5 min walk. I highly recommend this hotel for your travels to Vienna..

Walkable, convenient, spacious
This hotel was easily accessible from the train stop and very walkable to the inner city of Vienna. We were very happy with our room; it was quite spacious for three people. The breakfast options were plentiful and it was good. The staff in charge of breakfast worked very hard to keep everything stocked and clean. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again.

I love the classic feel of the hotel, and the location is really fantastic. It might be a bit "old" but it is very appealing. I would just like to see a few small upgrades to the hotel and then I will be more tempted to stay longer on my next visit to Vienna: there are no dressers or anywhere to store clothing in either the single or double rooms; Internet service frequently dropped; and the satellite TV reception only worked for some channels - some channels had like a jigsaw puzzle of broken images when I tried to watch them. Again, these were not major points for me, but things I hope they can improve. The breakfast was very good and the rooftop deck with chairs and tables is a nice touch. The staff at the front desk, dining room, and housekeeping were all very friendly and polite.

Positives: great location, had 2 separate twin beds, free breakfast, cleaning lady did good job Negative: safety deposit box not working; first 2 days wifi was third world, so slow, 3rd day was better; AC control terrible. Reception said windows need to be closed for AC remote to work, most of the time it did not. Couldn’t get it to turn on. After a few complaints to reception, I was told they would turn it on remotely from the reception. You need to call reception everytime you wanted AC. Then in the middle of the night, AC would stop!

Dear guest, Thanks for your review. We are pleased that you liked the central location and the service of our staff. We installed individually controlled air conditioning throughout the hotel in 2019. For climate protection, we have attached sensors to our windows, which means that the air conditioning only works when the windows are closed. When the window is opened, the air conditioning switches off automatically. The last A/C service was last month, in July 2022. Our rooms safes works either with a PIN you can choose or with a key, which you can pick up at the reception. We contacted our WiFi provider to check the connection to the 3rd floor. We hope that you will give us the chance to leave a better impression next time.Kind regards from Vienna

This place is more than excellent. From the staff, the quietness of the place, breakfast was the best among the other hotels we've been while in Europe. I wish I can remember the names of all the staff, but Christian fr the front desk was very nice. Location is also a big plus, about 4mins walk to the St Stephen's cathedral.

Great central location
Hotel was in a great location very central but down a quiet street. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was small but fine for our needs. I would stay here again. Breakfast was good.
