7 nights of gloom.

Although staff are helpful the state of the property is in need of maintenance. We booked a suite with a terrace/balcony so we would have plenty of space. On arrival we complained the room had no balcony (also no windows to open), we were moved to another suite. This time with a window that opened out but overlooked wire meshing and a plastic tree with no seating area. We asked if we could access the roof terrace and the sauna. We were told "no roof top terrace, no sauna and no microwaves available". For the 3rd time we were moved again, this time to room 20. This had a tiny balcony, cob webs on the plastic flowers, one plastic chair and mouldy black walls. Overlooking a washing line and 3 high walls. Only 3 coat-hangers in the wardrobe. The bedroom was plain, a gents sock sat in the corner full of dust and hair. The covers on the mattress knocked us sick - the mattress cover was absolutely full of dozens of tiny holes and there was a cluster of tangled human hair ....I could go on but feel sick when I think back. I complained and the person in charge sent a cleaner to change the bedding, sadly the management did not come to view the bedding. Had we not visited Vienna before and knew our way around the city etc (we stayed out of the apartment for a number of hours each day) we would have flown home early. Took too many photographs of the rooms and filth in the Citadella Residence to publish on this website, and they are not very family friendly.

Big room, small price.

Amazing room, perfect for a couple on a vacation or a family. The entrance is a bit strange and they don’t have 24 hour reception but overall a great value.

Nicely decorated apartment

We stayed in this very nice decorated one bedroom apartment for 3 nights.Bed in bedroom was good size and comfortable but our son slept at sofa-bed which was not comfortable and squeaky . Apartment was clean , had kitchenette, fridge with water , coffee that was very convenient . 7 min walk to subway and CAT , but if you take a tram even less. Quiet area , grocery store 5 min walk . We would recommend this apartment to stay.

フルキッチン付きダイニング、リビング、ウオークインクロゼット、ベッドルーム、ジェットバス仕様のバスタブなど、贅沢な設備で、「暮らす」ようにくつろいで滞在することができました。 アーティスティックな内装はレンガや無垢材などでできていて重厚感があり、観光で疲れて帰ってきてもホテルの部屋にいることを楽しめます。 建物のドアから廊下を通って部屋に行くだけの構造で、共用施設がなく、サービスも快適なハウスクリーニングとオプションの朝食程度です。手続きは、チェックイン時に受け取った鍵を滞在中自己管理し、チェックアウト時に部屋において帰るだけというシンプルさ。 あれこれお世話してほしいという方には向きませんが、ウィーン住まいを疑似体験することを楽しめる人にはこれ以上の環境はありません。

The apartment is absolutely beautiful. The maid is fantastic and the little extras such as a coffee machine and water make your stay that bit more comfortable. Having a kitchenette meant we could have breakfast at the apartment everyday so saved us a bit of money and was relaxing. The bed was quite hard but that's about it.

Comfortable and stylish - would definitely return

Stayed for five nights for a pre Christmas festive break. Loved the apartment as a great alternative to a hotel. Located in a lovely old building - doesn't look much from outside but lovely inside including the access corridors and staircases to the apartments. There is also a lift. Nice touches like complementary coffee pods and water (still and sparkling) replenished daily, robes and slippers and a good hairdryer. Great quirky decor, small apartment but felt bigger due to clever and tasteful touches. Helpful staff. Lovely bathroom - even tea lights provided for around the jacuzzi! Great situation being within 2 mins walk of tram stop which links you to bus/underground routes to all corners of the city - weekly pass for €16 gives you unlimited use of bus tram and underground so well worth it to explore the city. Also good local amenities - nice Argentinian restaurant around the corner, and a Spar for all groceries etc. Large comfy bed, apartment always warm - underfloor heating plus radiators made it very cosy.

I was extremely happy here. The room was large, clean and had beautiful art all over. The room was much nicer than I expected. The one thing I wish was that the bed was not two beds pushed together.

Awesome location

After a week in hotel rooms in Vienna, Naples and AnaCapri, the Citadella residence was a good choice to wind down our trip with the choice to cook indoors. The kitchenette was great and so was the wine cellar and the jacuzzi bath. The art in the rooms, though refreshing, was a bit torrid for our four year old. I suppose the other suites have different themes. A Buddha statue was a calming influence. They were kind enough to let us stay till evening in time for our flight.

Lugar excelente, pero tuvimos problemas con la calefacción demasiada alta y no hubo forma de bajarla. Por ser apartamentos no tiene servicio completo de recepción y por ser final de año nos perjudicó un poco. Por lo demás el sitio es encantador

A+ for everything at Citadella

We rented 2 Suites for this trip and both of them were superb. The accommodation looks even better than the photos and the location to the city is great. The services rendered by our support staff were excellent. All requests were received and handled promptly and everyone was so very friendly and professional. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I like feel my hometown in the Vienna...^^

It's very nice and convenience. And very big like photo, interior is luxury and entic. I feel like living in the ancienct greek time. I lived during 8 days for my business trip, water is always full in the refirigeator eventhough still type and sparkling. I am really impressive their thoughfull. But they don't have 24hr receiption dest and telephone in the room. So I can touch with them through e-mail or mobile phone. It's a a little bit inconvenient. Anyway it's great memory in Vienna if I will go to again, I will choose citadella again.

5* romantic appt in central Vienna

Great stay at a very romantically decorated appt. A lot of effort has been put into the decoration and it's one to definately try for a Vienna stay. Very reasonably priced for the quality. Ten minute walk into central Vienna makes this a great location. Parking in a parking house about 200m from the hotel (at about 35€ for 24h). Very flexible staff and we got to keep the room as long as we wanted on the day of dept, since there were no guests the following night.
