Location was absolutely perfect, clean room with an old style charm, very pleasant and courteous staff. We didn’t have a chance to go to the café lounge, but it did look beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful day.
It's a beautiful facility in a perfect (absolutely perfect) location. Clean, Regal, a large collection of art on the walls, not to mention the hotel is rich in history.
I had room service for breakfast & the spread was unbelievably beautiful & fresh. The bar service was fantastic (Tim at the bar made sure we had the best wine & he was lovely). Right next door to the hotel is "Schnitzel One" ranked one of the top places for weiner schnitzel & beer in Ringstrasse. We ate there 3x - so good! Our room was massive & impressive with high ceilings & windows, a crystal chandelier, parquet wood floors, comfy couch & beds (they had an additional cot set for us).
The front desk staff was top notch & responsive to any need we had.
The Breakfast buffet: we were greeted by a phenomenal spread of cold cuts, various fish (white fish, salmon, caviar), cheeses, sausages, yogurts, fresh fruits of every choice, vegetables & pastry along with made-to-order omelets or eggs any style. So great!
ONLY Con:
1 day, we admittedly arrived towards the end of breakfast & the staff member & chef asked us to hurry- as they wanted to clean up. We got up from our table to get food, but almost everything was already taken to the back kitchen area & almost everything was gone. I felt guilty because they seemed a bit annoyed that we were late.... so, I left a substantial tip. The waiter didn't thank me for it.
Other than this, we had a WONDERFUL time here at this hotel! Highly recommend!

Disliked: Staff & service
The staff were so arrogant, condescending, rude, and unhelpful that I forfeited hundreds of dollars so I would not have to put up with such insufferable behavior. I have never spent so much to be treated so poorly. I actually booked another place to stay from their lobby and left without checking in.

Do not ever give these vile people your money. Upon my arrival, the doorman was interrupted in welcoming me by a taxi driver screaming at him for his recent disrespect. As they argued, I gave up and carried my belongings to the front desk, I was told by the staff, with whom I had been emailing for months, that they decided not deliver on the arrangements for an airport pickup of my wife when her flight changed. I was also told they and would not combine the two room reservations into one as requested. I was not able to park my vehicle anywhere nearby. I was then told they would assess charges for not doing the shuttle as requested. I was puzzled and asked for an explanation, but my only response was arrogant condescension and confused rambling stories by the two staff. It was as if spoiled children were left in charge of this expensive and elegant edifice. I asked to speak to the Manager and was told that was impossible because there was no one managing things on the weekend (clearly) and they were not to be disturbed. I was told to try back in two days and when I asked if a call or email was preferred, the more befuddled of the two gave me a card and said, with a sly grin, to use that. It was the hotel’s generic business card. While trying to sort things out, another hotel patron stopped by with a question and was also disrespected, and then after they left, was made fun of to me. Staff pushed paperwork at me to sign, and I refused and the arrogant condensation continued.
What an amazing location, Location, LOCATION! It’s close to everything we wanted to do. Also, being in a suite once occupied by a Russian Princess of Greece and Denmark was the icing on the cake. If we ever return to Vienna, we’ll definitely stay here.
Perfect breakfast, as always. Perfect location. Old-fashioned elegance throughout, with the uplifting spirit of Franz Lehár as a pleasant accompaniment.
