"Right in the waterfront in a beautiful city. Great old charm and the breakfast had many options. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. And we could store our bags to wander the town"
"The View Lugano from upper management to the entire View team made my stay the best ever.
The rooms are beautiful, meticulously clean and the food is absolutely wonderful.
Breakfast is a must.
Can’t wait to come back!

"I got sick while in Lugano and spent a couple full days in my room. I was so grateful to be at this hotel. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful and the room and beds very comfortable. The pool kept the kids busy. Once I felt better I appreciated the location. It’s right near the lake and an easy walk to the center."
"I booked this hotel mainly because it is near the station and I wanted to travel around the Ticino region by train. I wasn't expecting such a charming property that reflects the grand era of travel of a century ago. Despite its age, it has been very well upgraded and my room was very comfortable, with a balcony view of the garden and its many palm trees. The "Parkhotel" in the name is well merited -- the grounds are substantial and are like an oasis around the building. My stay was only for three nights and I was out and about during the day so I didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of this.
Breakfast was well organized and a wide selection was on offer. Based on the listing in Hotels.com, I was under the impression that there was no lift, but there are in fact two lifts, and these can be accessed directly from the ground level without having to climb the stairs to reach the lobby.
If I ever come back to Lugano, I would definitely stay here and I'd make time to take advantage of the "park.""
"Lovely inexpensive option in beautiful
Area. Easy walk from train station, nearby lake walk is fabulous and there are several nice places to eat. Staff was helpful and efficient. Get the breakfast- well worth the cost, lots of options."
"Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Internationale du Lac. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location can’t be beat for walking along the lake and general atmosphere. We enjoyed the “honesty bar” and outdoor space, including ping pong. The breakfast was delicious, with the best muesli of our trip and excellent croissants. A truly great historic hotel."
"The staff is magnificent. The room and view is spectacular. The food was excellent. There were many things to do locally and Milan was very close as well. We stayed here for our anniversary and it was excellent. Would recommend anyone."
