Front office staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Close enough to downtown for a quick 5 minute drive to restaurants while also being close to the marina. Would definitely go again on my next Ventura visit!

Always a wonderful experience at Crystal Lodge. The pictures don’t do it justice. You won’t regret staying here. Neil is very personable and has been hotel management for many years. You will receive great treatment for the price point and then some. Just be respectful to the property, Neil and his family. You’ll always have a good experience staying here.

This Motel is a hidden Gem in Ventura. I have stayed here a couple times now, and will not stay anywhere else if I have the choice. Rooms are immaculate and look like they were just remodeled yesterday. Manager is a very nice and helpful Gentleman. Beaches are minutes away from the hotel. I am an out of town worker and stay in this area a week at a time and have stayed in many hotels and motels in the area. This is by far my favorite.

Stayed here because it was the closest place to stay for a concert at Ventura music hall. The venue was just across the street so it was super convenient. The motel property and rooms were clean and the beds were unexpectedly pretty comfortable. Parking was kinda tight though.

3 major reasons why I gave the poor ratings where I did. #1 the bathroom smelled so bad like a sewer septic tank, that I would nearly gagged every time I walk into the bathroom. We tried putting towels over the drains on the floor, in the shower and the sink. It was TERRIBLE. #2, I picked the place for the kitchen that it provided and showed up with groceries knowing I would be there several days. There was an absolutely inadequate supply of kitchen tools and ALL dishes plus silverware were dirty! I had to clean everything in order to use. #3, I had to have an important item over-nighted to the hotel and was never told it had arrived the day before I checked out. Upon checking out I ask if anything had arrived and was told no. When it WAS there. It wasn't until I called the company that sent it that I found out it was shipped and had arrived. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR ME.

The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The exterior is rough, but that is very deceptive - our room was impeccably clean, spacious, and comfortable! So glad that we trusted all the positive reviews - they weren't exaggerated.

Highly recommend
We had an amazing star at the CrystaLodge. Staff were very friendly and made our stay very comfortable. The room was much bigger and nicer than expected. There were also lots of TV station options and a really beautifully designed kitchen area which made it feel like home. The room prices are also very affordable for the quality we got. I would definitely stay here again!

I like the hotel!
Our stay was pleasurable & comfortable. I like the location being close to the beach & dining places, shopping mall. It is in the center of the Ventura County. I like the cleanliness of the hotel & the kindness of the lady housekeeper. Only thing I would say is, I wish they would widen up their parking spots because I brought a big Ram truck with me Lol. Still, I would give them 5 Starz though because I like the place. I would stay there again . 😊 Thank you!

My two night stay had both good & bad elements. Thin walls - and an inconsiderate idiot next door... yes, you in room 205!! - meant that I was woken up at 3am by this 'charmer' standing outside my room while having a heated conversation on his phone. 🙄 I complained to the management - of course - and was moved to a much better room for my second night. The slightly scruffy outside appearance of the Crystal Lodge hides the fact that the rooms are nice! Great beds & decent showers... and clean. All you want from a Motel really. I'd go back - but I'd hope for a better neighbour!

Inexpensive Crash Pad
An inexpensive place to stay that’s clean with a reasonably comfortable bed. The place is in marginal condition, window screen was broken and held together with duct tape, water took a really long time to get warm, towels thin and the TV old. Rooms on the street side are noisy but you know that going in so bring earplugs. Parking can be tight. If you just need a place to crash and noise doesn’t bother you it fits the bill.
