"This place shone through because of the owners Carol and Chris. From the moment of check in Carol couldn’t do enough to welcome me and made such an effort at breakfast to accommodate my needs. My room was comfortable and warm and had everything I could need. A little fridge would have been a bonus but with such a fair price I’m definitely not complaining. The location was great too and I was at the beach in no time. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and would recommend to others. "

"Located just feet from the Portsmouth Harbor train station, good restaurants (especially The Ship Anson) and the historic dockyard where you could spend several days touring the ships and museums. The beds were very comfortable and while there was no AC there was a fan which worked well with an open window to draw in the cool air. Breakfast was good, skip the “brown bread” tastes like saw dust. The room refresh was lacking, we had to request additional coffee, the waste basket was not emptied...
