"An historic and charming hotel centrally located in the pedestrian area of Rethymno. Approx an 8-10 minute walk from taxi drop-off. My suite was very roomy with good amenities albeit lacking drawer space. Good quality bed linen. Bathroom small but manageable. Breakfast well presented with a wide choice of hot and cold options. Excellent and delicious evening dining. Possible in delightful courtyard. Service impeccable. (It's very highly rated as one of the best 'restaurants' in Rethymno) Friendly and helpful staff and great service throughout. Highly recommended."

"The pictures on the website make this hotel looks spectacular. The room I had did have a hot tub, but it was inside the room. That made it very difficult to take a shower, and actually filling the hot tub would take about an hour, so I never had time to do it. It also uses up a huge amount of space in the room. Check in on the weekend involves being emailed a code as you arrive and a tall staircase not friendly to having large luggage and one person with a bad back. The people who run the property are extremely nice, and the location is very good. The cleaning is excellent, except that twice they left me a sheet and a blanket folded up not put on the bed. There was also an issue with a sticky switch to flush the toilet that was not fixed while I was there. Overall, this is a luxury property, but the way that it is arranged and managed (strange bed making, sticky switch, big staircase with no one to ) makes it four stars rather than five."

"Spacious, beautiful room right in the heart of old town Rethymno. The location could not be any better. Seconds from the main shopping area but located in a quieter alleyway. There was some noise from the restaurant outside, but it closed at 11 and then it was very quiet after that. Walking distance to the Fortezza and the harbour. And we especially enjoyed the little balcony. Would love to stay here again!"
