The island is beautiful and well laid out. There is plenty to do and see or lots of places to just chill out. The staff on the island were fantastic. Honestly the best service we have had anywhere. The hotels buffet offerings were exceptional. The resturants near the main hotel are offering good service and great quality food. The only advice I would offer any would be travellers is that if you have a tight budget to find somewhere else.

Excellent island hotel. Great staff. We arrived into Male at 6.30am and the hotel arranged a private transfer. Our rooms were ready early which was great after a long flight. Our double bedroom villa was perfect for our teenage kids and there was enough for them to do on the island for a week. Food was amazing with the al la carte options. Would definitely go back.

From the moment you arrive at the airport everything is 5 stars. Excellent location, beautiful clear white beaches. Cristal clear water. Amazing snorkeling in the reef and lots of amazing fish that can be seen akk the time. The butlers go the extra mile and are truly fantastic. The water sport options, fishing, restaurant, and activities can keep even the most demanding client happy. 7 days in paradise and cannot wait to go back. Everything was amazing and even a couple of things that weren’t perfect upon our arrival were so attentively fixed with such respect and care that I don’t even remember what these were.
We have stayed in many top Maldives hotels before and I would, having compared them, would rate the WA very highly.
We even got to see a dolphin right outside our villa at sunset!
Beautiful island, fantastic food, and (very important for me) no show - offs like in the “famous” One and Only which was such a...

For couples, especially couples on a honeymoon or a special anniversary (we were on our 25th wedding anniversary) this place is perfect. The setting of white, soft sands in a clear blue sea with tropical greenery is impossibly beautiful. The villa is immaculate, clean and tastefully decorated. Out the back you have your own sun dec with table and chairs and two sun beds. Best of all there are a few steps which lead into the water. From there, using the borrowed snorkelling gear it's a short...

Absolutely stunning property. Service levels and staff are exceptional. Very impressed with the main buffet and other dining options in the property. The M6M experience is unique and very special. The only negatives I would point out is the dining at the Indian / Ceylon restaurant and the snorkelling experience at another resort was much better. at their house reef. Our other experience with another resort for snorkelling was far superior. The service standards are exceptional at this resort...

I approached Oblu Ailafushi with some hesitation due to mixed reviews but was thoroughly charmed upon arrival. The resort's willingness to accommodate an early check-in for our family, especially with a young child in tow, was a relief and set a hospitable tone for our stay. The food was a highlight, offering a delectable spread of various cuisines, including exceptional local Maldivian dishes that deserve every bit of their 5-star rating. The buffet was a hit with both adults and children,...

This is without doubt the ideal tropical retreat, no motorised vehicles just 46 beachside bungalows spread out around the perimeter of the island, which means that you can walk completely around the island on the beach in 15 minutes! This is the place to come if you want nothing more than water activities, sunbathing, eating, drinking and catching up on your favourite novels.
The ratio of staff to guests is one to one although you may never see the majority as they are working behind the scenes...

We stayed at the Ocean Grand for one night on arrival to Male, the hotel staff were great, Sanjay the hotel manager was very helpful. The hotel is small but well kept and it is just across the road from the beach. The hotel is very convenient as it is located on the same island as the airport, so transfers are very quick.
The room was a little on the small side, but was sufficient for one night.
