Any first impressions that the property and environment are a little โtiredโ were quickly dispelled by the welcome and the ambience. The house is set in lovely and large grounds, just right for an evening stroll"

"The overall experience was good. The staff were very nice and willing to help.
The hotel is very French which we liked but the carpet in our bedroom was very stiff hessian and therefore uncomfortable on bear feet
The staircases 2 were very steep, very narrow and winding in my view not suitable for anyone with any kind of mobility issues.
Breakfast was continental no meat or cheese but more than adequate.
There is no restaurant facilities at the hotel however only a 5 minute walk is an IBIS...

"This is an absolutely delightful little hotel with very warm and welcoming hosts, Vicky and Jean Luc, who went well out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time. Our room was simply lovely and the breakfasts were fabulous with freshly squeezed orange juice, really good coffee and delicious croissants, fruit salads and yoghurts. If you are visiting Poitiers or passing through on your way to other parts of France or Europe it is a complete treat to stay here. We were there for five...

"Itโs an old buildingโฆ with an overgrown garden like an haunted mansion. First impression was to runโฆ seemed like a horror movie set. Old furniture with dantesque paintings in this dark manor. BUTโฆ we stayed as was only a motorway stop. Dinner was in the middle of the gardenโฆ and food was AMAZING. Room was super specious and super cleanโฆ with all the accessories. Breakfast was generous and well presented in a room from 1830!!
Great value for moneyโฆ and super well connected to lovely locations...

A very nice stay in a lovely old building that has been sympathetically modernised and included air conditioning
It is a 5 min walk to the river and we went to a very nice restaurant around the corner that the hotel owner recommended
