What I did do was empty the tabacco from the cigarette butt then threw the butt in the trash can in the room instead of littering in the parking lot. I'm sure there was an odor, its a cigarette butt, but that is a far cry from smoking! And the main reason aside from the rule, is that my husband is on oxygen! Free flowing oxygen in a small room, oh yeah, let's smoke in there! I'm actually very disappointed in their DNR (do not rent) decision, we liked their hotel, we'd even stayed there 2 more times AFTER I was supposedly on the naughty list! Smokers beware!"
