The Palazzo Monga is a truly unique and beautiful boutique hotel. Restored to a very high level, it was undoubtedly one of the most impressive hotels I’ve stayed in. The location in the centre of Verona was perfect for seeing everything easily. The concierge Arthur was incredibly friendly and helpful, as was the owner Julia. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!

The apartment was more than we hoped for, spotlessly clean and perfectly situated. The service was faultless, we were given a list of suggested places to visit and to eat and drink, which proved to be very useful. They even arranged our taxi to the airport. Quirky hotel in a great location between the Arena and Juliet’s balcony. My single room was spacious with everything I needed. The bed was definitely bigger than a single! The welcome drink was a nice touch on arrival. Breakfast was a buffet with a good variety of hot and cold food. The hotel was very busy though!

This is our second visit to Opera Relais de Charme and it's been another full ratings visit. The appartment is so close to the main points of interest. Also in a restriced area for most car traffic. We used the train to visit Lake Garda and with an all day ticket travelled via hyrofoil to explore many towns. Take to the mountains via cable car. Look down from 1,790 metres to the lake. Really well thought out decor, lovely gardens, comfortable and welcoming inside. Staff were very hospitable.

We wanted somewhere to stay near Verona that offered some peace in contrast to the city and the Delser provided it. You need a car to get to the city but the overall experience of the hotel, the staff and the excellent breakfast more than made up for that slight inconvenience. For those interested in design, the hotel offers an outstanding example of the conversion of a utilitarian structure into a location of true quality.

Different people will require different things from their hotel; research is key. I read up that this hotel was within the courtyard of the 'Balcony of Juliet' and that it would be busy downstairs, and that there was no dining room so breakfast would be served in room. Google maps showed that it is fairly central in the old part of the city. Escalus is located in the centre of Verona, just a few steps from the Arena, which always seems to have something happening. The lack of in-house restaurant, bar or lounge space was no draw-back at all for us. Breakfast in-room service was excellent and always delivered on time. We were made so welcome at this beautiful relaxing B&B with a wonderful swimming pool; the owners maintain the property to the highest standards and could not have been more friendly and helpful. The Tenuta is a very special place: nested in the vineyards of the Valpolicella atop a hill giving you breathtaking views from every angle, it really gives you the opportunity to relax and retreat.
