Hotel Phoenicia was a lucky choice for our first visit to Malta. Ideally positioned to walk into Valetta, and easy to get to everywhere by car. Bus station would have been possible too as just beside the hotel. The Hotel oozed colonial charm especially The Club bar where the service was impeccable. This is an absolute gem. I came to Malta to work in the mornings and explore in the afternoons. The studio apartment is well equipped and proved to be an excellent base. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There are some good bars hidden away nearby. It is a short walk to the tourist areas. Cabs are cheap and easy to get. I stayed for an extra week. In fact, I am still here and considering spending the rest of the winter here!

We were very happy with everything about this hotel. Location is superb for people like us who do not like being in the complex of hotels! It is in residential area opposite the San Anton Palace with their excellent parks and their 'Palace Kitchen Gardens'.
