"The hotel was a convenient stopover on our way back from Denmark. The guy on reception was helpful and we were pleased with our room that had a double in one part and 3 singles in an adjoining room. Beds were comfy and the shower/bathroom was fine. The decor was a little tired and dated and there were only limited options in the restaurant (which was mentioned and apologised for). The fridge in the room didn’t work which was a shame and it would have been nice to have had a kettle and tea/coffee...
"Had a very pleasant stay here. The rooms and property are well maintained. Great overall experience. My only inconvenience is that as a taller and larger individual, the shower stalls are a bit tight. But the water was nice and hot, and the towel heaters were excellent. Also, because you're technically on an island, having a kitchen was a huge plus. Plenty of supermarkets in Burg Auf to stock up. Having a car is a must. "
"Wonderful hotel with fantastic views of the beach and the sea. Book a room with balcony and sea view. It’s definitely worth the extra cost. Only one armchair in the room though but two on the balcony. Most amazing hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Great stay for a weekend by the sea. "
"Booked this as it was different and was a bit of fun. No headroom for the bunk bed at all, and it was an ‘experience’. The setting is lovely, the hotel grounds are very nice and the owner was very helpful and I would not hesitate to stay in the hotel again in a nice room with a view , but not in the barrel again.
