"Location and view is excellent. Staff unfortunately needs training in "hospitality" - unfortunately the manager himself was the most rude person! Ladies at the reception were very nice and valued customers more than anyone else. The breakfast was great but the staff was not welcoming (thus lowering the rating despite of good food selection and quality). As such, this place has a great potential if management can pursue what is called a "positive attitude" towards their guests."

"Lovely stay in Botafogo. Larissa at the front desk was very helpful, as was all of the staff. We were lucky to have a corner room with a gorgeous view of the bay and Sugar Loaf. You can see Christ from the rooftop, which has a bar and food and a pool. Easy to Uber anywhere from here. There are Nespresso machines in the rooms with a charge per pod. We would stay here again!"

"The stay was okay overall, but there were a few issues. The rooftop pool looked much better in the photos than in reality. Check-in was also poorly handled — we arrived at 12pm and were told after 2pm multiple times that the room would be ready in “5 minutes”, but we didn’t receive our room card until 3:30pm. They offered a slightly late check-out to make up for it, but since our flight was at 6am it wasn’t useful. The bathroom also felt quite outdated, and the shower frequently flooded the bathroom floor, which was inconvenient. Overall, not a terrible stay, but definitely room for improvement."

"The location was convenient, but the street wasn’t the nicest and was about a block from a night club/strip club. The rooms were quite outdated. The bathrooms smelled a bit and while mostly clean, were not up to par for a 3-4 star hotel. The one nice part was the rooftop view. Check in and check out took longer than most of the hotels we stayed at in Rio/Brazil. "
