"Skip this place. This is not hospitality.
There were no basic amenities—no Kleenex, shampoo, conditioner, or even water. It took about 10 minutes of running water to get hot water in both the sink and shower. The floors were so dirty that the bottoms of our feet turned black.
We checked in with only one set of towels and had to request more. The pool was closed. The remote control was filthy, so we avoided using the TV altogether. There weren’t enough pillows, and the bedding was too light—expect to be cold at night unless you run the noisy heater.
Overall, a very poor experience."
"The hotel offers a fantastic location with easy beach access and a convenient spot right on the main street. We enjoyed being able to walk to nearby restaurants for both breakfast and dinner. It’s also very close to Glass Beach and provides great coastal access for a relaxing morning walk, along with plenty of opportunities for tidepooling.
Our room was clean, tidy, and well-suited for a comfortable overnight stay.
One area for improvement would be the front desk staff. While the property itself was enjoyable, a more welcoming and attentive approach from the front office staff would enhance the overall guest experience. They truly did not enjoy their people-facing role."
"This hotel was a fantastic value, with clean, modern room and bath, great breakfast included, convenient to shopping and sights, with great restaurant for dinner right next door. I’d highly recommend it!"
"Location is great, being right next to the ocean with balcony views and a walking path directly behind property with easy access to walk right down to beach. Comfortable stay with the basics."
"Seabird is at the southend of Ft. Bragg on Hwy 1 (PCH). The property is older maybe built in the 70's or 80's. It is well maintained. Checkin was very good and the reception staff kind of worked off a script. Every checkin is the same. We booked a room with a king size bed and a balcony with a view of the ocean, although maybe a quarter mile away. There is an indoor pool and a restaurant across the parking lot that is part of the property. There is also a few gas stations and small stores very close. This stretch of PCH has a few beaches (glass beach) and state parks. The Seabird is know for their breakfast and it didn't disappoint. They have a nice size dedicated room just for this. They offered anything you can have for breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc) and they were cooked on the spot and fresh. It was excellent. Overall I would recommend staying here and I would do it again. "
"The hotel is near the river. We got upgraded to a river view room which is very lovely. The staff was extremely friendly. The room was big, clean and quiet. We wish we had time to stay another night and enjoyed the view. The lobby has some games. My kid enjoyed the chess board very much. One staff was nice enough to entertain him a few games off duty. Would definitely choose the hotel again next time we are in the area. "
The Lodge at Healdsburg, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Had a great stay at The lodge, great location and great property. My son enjoyed the pool and the hot tub during our stay. Loved the cafe within the hotel."
