The staff was superb. Have us a lot of suggestions from dinners to site seeing. Alejandro was awesome. The room was outstanding just like the picture. Breakfast was very good. They also offer room service. Honestly I would come back to this hotel next time in Tulum.

My week at Orchid Beach House was magical, but there are pros and cons. Pros: - Right on a beautiful beach. - The view from my room was incredible. Sea-view rooms are limited, but all rooms are steps from the sand. - Comfortable bed, good shower (rustic = salty water). - The food and drinks were delicious: great tacos with fresh tortillas (fish, steak, and shrimp were my favorites), ceviches, aguachile rojo, salads, a burger, and great breakfast options. They take pride in their food. - The staff are friendly and accommodating (beach club staff, chefs, housekeeping, front desk) - The beach setup is quite good. It's quieter - no loud music, which I loved. - Great massage is available in the white tent on the beach next to the hotel. Lily was incredible. - Checkin and checkout were easy - I'm not sure what all the complaints are about; the staff takes reviews seriously and makes course corrections. Cons: - It's rustic - this was not a con for me, but it could be for some. You're in the jungle. - The rooms were nicely decorated; however, there were no drawers—only shelves—and my sliding door did not lock from the inside (I never felt unsafe). - It is easy to get taxis; however, the taxi mafia is in full force. It costs 500 pesos to go one mile; you could haggle and maybe get it for 400, but you need to factor this in. - The kitchen closes early: 6:30 pm. - Tulum is expensive - everywhere. - The new Tulum airport is easier, but still a 45 drive; Transport is costly.

Property was charming as a small boutique hotel. Make sure you lineup your checkout in advance. We had to wait for staff at the reception for 45min and we missed our transportation.

AVOID THIS HOTEL !! Stayed 2 days and felt unsafe, was charge over $700 to my AMEX by checkout when the gentleman noticed i was in a hurry, asked for a refund and been waiting since, they don't even answer my WhatsApp messages anymore ( Paola who promised i would receive my refund within 5 days ) Please avoid it, they will steal and overcharge you, there's plenty of beautiful more safer hotels in Tulum.

Plus: - super nice boutique hotel with limited rooms - everyone is super friendly & accommodating! - beach out front is large and there’s very few people - food is great Cons: - while food is great, portions are small and it’s very pricey - It says it’s an adults only resort, but they allow children during the day (wasn’t an issue for us, but wanted to flag it in case anyone was looking for a ‘true’ adults only holiday)

Good location. Front desk was pleasant. Very basic amenities and without a pool. The security personnel were more focused on policing us from having relatively low-key fun than ensuring the resort was secure from the outside. Take note of the condition of your room so they don't try and charge you for damages later on.

The property was absolutely beautiful and exactly as pictured. The staff was very friendly and they were very attentive. We stayed at the Cambria suite and it was everything we expected. The only thing I wish they had was a long mirror inside the suite or a better mirror in the bathroom. The mirror in the bathroom is pretty high up and it was difficult for me to get ready. Other than that it was perfect.

Overall we enjoyed our trip. Things we liked: our room, the overall look of the hotel - very cute. The beach was clean and beach chairs well taken care of. The front desk staff was very helpful and quick to respond. However, there were things listed about the hotel online that were not true. The hotel lists as an adults only venue; however, there were children staying there during our stay. Also, the website said a continental breakfast was included - it was not. The website says mini-fridge with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages - there were no snacks and any beverages you took you were charged for. I feel like the online listing should be updated to accurately reflect their current practice. We did not find that the service at the beach club was very friendly or timely. Also, the hours they were open for food/drink changed daily and it was difficult to plan meals not knowing when they would be serving.

Really good location, and nice style room/hotel. Easy walk to beach clubs etc. Negatives: staff were quite pushy with food and drinks (which were really overpriced), tip was added to absolutely everything - even per night on our bill when we checked out, and there was no effort made to clear the seaweed, which other hotels had done further along.

We stayed for 5 nights in the Cambria suite. Our room was cleaned daily, staff was attentive, food and drinks were very good, and fairy priced. If you are looking for an authentic experience this is the place for you. The water in the shower is a bit salty but you quickly get used to that. Location wise this property is close enough to all of the beach clubs but far enough that the music doesn’t disturb during the night. We thank you for your hospitality and for having security during the night by the beach entrance and the main street.

Absolutely horrible experience my boyfriend and I had here we left one night to stay at another hotel our family had we left our belongings passports and $4,000 in our safe and the next morning the hotel got shutdown by local police and government due to unapproved construction the staff at the hotel took our belongings and placed it in their sister hotel however the staff who cleared our room took it upon themselves to open our safe without our permission and stole the cash that was inside our safe. the safe weighs less than 20 pounds and could have easily been transferred over without being unopened. The time the incident happened was at 8 am and I was not contacted by the hotel until nearly 11 am almost 3 hours after. The customer experience after was extremely horrible the manger of the hotel took days to respond and was absolutely nasty when replying back and has not helped us one bit. It took me days of fighting with the social media team just to get in contact with him. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. If you are looking for a good place to stay check out “Mia by Selina”, Tago and “Ana y Jose” those are good resorts in the area. Do not come to the orchid beach house and do not trust the staff there

Orchid was such a beautiful experience! Amazing staff we had a warm welcome since the day we walked in and out! Room very clean! Beach gets clean from seaweed, so beachside is clear & the greenery was outstanding. Security on site every night! There is some remodeling happening right now by the the beach bar with mild noise but not a big deal! Overall I would definitely recommend Orchid to all my family.

Absolute gorgeous property! The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. My husband and I went to celebrate our birthdays and were able to enjoy the ocean in peace with an incredible view from our room, the Cambria. Such a romantic place to visit. The sites of Tulum are super close too!

We had a great 4 night stay here! Everyone was friendly! The rooms were just as we expected! Water pressure in shower was awesome but water was a bit salty. There was a lot of seaweed and some trash on their beach but we didn’t stay on the beach so much because of the scattered showers. The last day was gorgeous and pretty clear though. We loved the welcome drinks! We would definitely stay here again! PS most of cab drivers didn’t know where this place was because it’s kind of small so we would just tell them it’s across the popular restaurant called Parole.

My husband and I had a great time there. The staffs were awesome and the hotel it’s walking distance from the beach clubs. The only problem was the beach, it had a lot of Sargassum in the front of the property, we were expecting this during this season but we thought they would clean up more. Other than that, everything was great. Also, their breakfast was really good!!!

The property is under construction. They were removing toilets and renovating the bar during our stay. Next door is a ton of trash, not very nice to look at.

Welcome to Paradise! Orchid Beach House is the perfect place if you're looking for a relaxing holiday on the beach, but still want to be close to the party zone with all the bars and restaurants. The staff is fantastic, Mariela kindly arranged my transport back to the airport, as well as my Covid test onsite. The rooms are clean, quiet and fairly spacious, and the food delicious. I'm already looking at booking my next stay there!

Exotic accommodations, good wifi, beach amenities were pretty cool and excellent service. The only thing that we wanted is to have more privacy in the patio area where the private pool is. Other than that, our stay was awesome and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Very well located with lots of restaurants and clubs around the area but everything was super expensive even inside the hotel

Place is nice, rooms are nice, location is nice, but the beach is dirty and it seems like property makes no effort in cleaning their section of the beach. I took a walk down the beach and hotel Ahua Tulum is the only property that has a clean beach; notice cleaning crew maintaining their beach section spotless.

Hello James, we appreciate the time taken to leave this review, unfortunately this is sargassum season and it has hit pretty bad, we do clean it, but by the time we finish it seems like the ocean has brought in some more to shore, we do not use any heavy machinery to collect the sargassum, it is all man efforts so this may be why it might have seemed it was neglected, but we assure you it is not. Some days the amount of sea weed we get is way too much, some others it ain't that much. It is amazing that you had a good time during your stay and that everything was fine with the property itself, and that the only downside was the sargassum which is (somewhat) out of our total control. We hope you had safe travels back home, and thank you for choosing Orchid Beach House!

Beautiful Boutique Hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful, We stayed in Calante room which was very clean and spacious. We definitely will stay here again.

We stayed in a beautiful ocean-front bungalow that had a private rooftop hot tub and hammock. Perfect location to enjoy Tulum's beautiful beaches. The hotel is also directly across the street from Parole, a gorgeous Italian restaurant with excellent cocktails and food. Definitely recommend if you're there. Special thanks to Antonio who checked us in and also leads the salsa classes in the afternoon. Very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Following the recommendation of a friend from many years ago, I decided to book a short stay at My Way. The property is quite small, like other original beach properties in Tulum, but is beautifully kept. The rooms are super cute and everything you would need for a stay in Tulum. I also loved that each of the rooms had their own little outside sitting area. The location is great because it’s on the main beach without being in the main strip of restaurants where it’s louder. I really enjoyed my stay here and look forward to returning!

Lovely Stay
We had a great time at My Way. The staff was incredible and helpful, booking taxis, covid tests, and bringing us such great breakfast and lunches while we enjoyed the ocean view. The resort is kept so clean and beautiful. Our room, the Imperial, was beautiful. We had plenty of space for our week stay. The one caveat I want to warn travelers about is the noise level in this specific room- there is a night club, Parole, across the street from My Way. We could hear techno music until 2am every night. We brought a blue tooth stereo, and the room had one, so with both of those playing white noise, we were able to sleep. Our friends who stayed in other suites couldn’t hear anything, so if you’re a light sleeper, it might be worth asking the very helpful staff their recommendations for quieter rooms. :) Overall, our stay was dreamy and I’d recommend!
