Wonderful and comfortable stay with warm and inviting staff. Breakfast was great and cakes/desserts were delicious. Centrally located in the beautiful town of Triberg. Unforgettable experience in the Black Forest with wonderful traditional Cuckoo Clock shopping.
Great room, the bed could be more comfortable. Doesn’t have an elevator, if you have a lot of luggage, be prepared to use stairs. The breakfast was good with a lot of options and friendly personnel.
The location of the hotel was great, rooms were clean and spacious. Our room had a window which was not closing fully and it was quite noisy in the room due to the heavy traffic outside. Breakfast was nice. There was no internet in the hotel in the first night, we had to ask for actual room keys as I wasn’t able to access the website to open our room.
Do not be deceived by the common exterior, lobby, and landings. The rooms are modern, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was very communicative before our arrival, proving all the details we needed for arrival. Digital keys were convenient, as was the very reasonably-priced parking around the corner. In late March, Triberg was quite quiet with many restaurants closed, hence the 3-star review of surroundings.
We arrived after normal check-in and received an email with instructions to get a key card. Had to call to ask about parking, but it was easy and just down the street. Breakfast was good and the location was great for walking to the waterfall. There was a fan in the room, which was a bonus, though it was on a timer that we had to keep re-setting. Overall a nice place to stay.
Cute hotel with nice/newer furnishing. Great location with easy access to restaurants. Wonderful staff. Breakfast was excellent. No ac, but fan provided and we were able to open the windows, downside to open windows is the street noise as our window was over the main road through town. The covered parking for a small fee was nice. No elevator, so be prepared to carry everything up wide stable stairs.
Spacious room with nice seating area to relax. Only problem we had was the noise from the street. With no a/c if you needed air flow you had to deal with the noise. Otherwise it was a good experience and a lovely breakfast.
We stayed one night in the family room and it was very nice. It was still warm but they had a standing fan in the room which was great. There were also plugs right under the TV so we could plug in our personal Firestick with ease.
They give you a free parking pass with an assigned spot in a covered garage but we originally parked in an EasyPark place just up the road before we knew that. The hotel itself was quiet but the room was off the mainstreet so the motorcycles were noisy at times.
Lovely big room with historic features and apparently recently renovated. Quiet, even with main road outside. Good breakfast with lots of choice and quirky old character dining room. Hostess seemed unhappy in her work and struggled to be welcoming. Back yard garage parking was useful, albeit with additional fee. Plenty of places to eat newrby, so long as its not ‘ruhrtag’ or rest day (Mon/& Tuesday. Can highly recommend Tresor for dinner.
Nice hotel and breakfast in the middle of all the action. Parking is paid to hotel garage 50m away. No lift, no fridge, need to carry your luggage up 2 levels.
Beautifully appointed rooms, all amenities provided, the bathroom was very small so should have a shelf by the hall mirror to hold products when applying cosmetics.
The remote control for TV did not work. However, since there’s no staff on duty, we could do nothing

An unpleasant night
Check in was a problem. No one was at the front desk and the door was locked. We came back an hour later and the door was open but still no one at the front desk. We called the number and were told she would be with us in a few minutes. Almost 10 min later she walked in and wanted to know how we had gotten through the front door.
WiFi didn't work. The bed was lumpy and the bedding scratchy
The free breakfast provided was good and the Triberg Tourist Card provided a fun afternoon. None of the 4 attractions were worth the entry fee they were charging so we wouldn't have done them without the the Tourist Card.
We would definitely NOT stay here again.
