"The hotel is in a good location, right on the main road in Torshavn, and close to the ferry dock. The free breakfast was good, but the served the same food everyday so it got a little monotonous. The staff was mostly friendly and efficient. The room was very clean, and a good size. Overall a very nice place."

"We absolutely loved the beautiful spacious room, bathroom and common areas. The beds and bedding were so comfortable it was hard to leave. The food was delicious, both the breakfast buffet and every meal/tea we ate in the bar restaurant. The Ress spa was so perfect. The gym was excellent, clean and had every piece of equipment for a great work out. The laundry room was free to use, including the detergent. We loved our one week stay at this hotel and we will definitely be back if we make it back to the gorgeous Faroe Islands!"

"The hotel was beautifully kept and the staff were helpful and friendly. I loved that it had recreated the old world charm of the ‘good old days’ and the little cafe open for guests was very convenient. The curved breakfast room overlooking the ocean made me feel like I was in an Agatha Christie novel 😍"

"I had a very pleasant few days in The Bird. Room was small and basic but comfortably and clean. The kitchen and dinning room are as good as you ’ll get. Also a lounge for relaxing, which is great if you don’t want to leave at 1000. The only issue is they need a better system for food in the fridge as it’s full of stuff that people have left."
