"While the decor needed a little upkeep (painters cauk eg) the location and facilities were good for a few days stay. Great views of the ferry port and couldn’t be handier for ferry/ train/bus anywhere"

The Whisky Vaults

"We are now back at home after our trip. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the Whisky Vaults but the most positive thing was that the bed was comfortable. 1. Staying for 2 days but the room was not serviced. 2. Breakfast, in a brown bag appeared on the first day only. 3. Thanks to Connor, who took an item of luggage upstairs. There was no lift and the back stairs were a challenge to my wife who is waiting for an ankle operation. 4. I would not be in a hurry to recommend the Whisky Vaults. Certainly not worth £366 for 2 nights."

Muthu Oban Regent Hotel

6/10 Okay

"No parking to speak of. The lift, or elevator was down with a sign saying it was out of commission due to "preventive maintenance." This is B.S., preventive maintenence includes cleaning and/or lubricating parts and usually takes less than an hour. The elevator had been down for several weeks. Everything about this hotel was old and worn-out. Will not stay there again."
