This is a gem of a hotel in the National Park Village. We loved the location, Spiral Restaurant and the communal gathering areas in the restaurant and bar. Everything was super clean, staff were capable and friendly. The views of the mountains at sunset in front of the hotel are special.

They are in process of updating rooms and site. We had a very dated room in need of a lot of attention. Once you put that aside, everything was absolutely fine, great facilities and good value for money.

Used Tongariro crossing shuttle really friendly driver and convenient pick up with parking at ski biz. Booking online was easy and if you are doing the crossing you need a shuttle as departing and arrival are two different locations.
