My husband and I just returned from a two-week trip to Kyoto and Tokyo, Japan during #cherryblossom season! This photo was taken at Chidorigafuchi Park, which has a beautiful walking path lined with sakura trees, which follow a river and eventually lead to the #tokyoimperialpalace. FUN FACT: Cherry blossoms do not produce the cherry fruit. In fact, it has nothing to do with a cherry; that’s just the name of the flower. In Japanese (and Russian), they call it #sakura and it is one of the most beautiful and delicate #flowers. Their blooming season only lasts for around two weeks, so it certainly was a treat!
