i was sent 2 technical hotels staff in my room shortly after my arrival to help with a computer connection problem
FYI the connection to the internet via the hotel is very 1950s , not great what so ever , so hard to imagine staying there on business , and ...
they both had deplorable hygiene , no english , no tech skills and when i she the one staffer went to reach for my computer , i was shocked and disgusted to see his hands entirely covered in red bruises and putrefaction from bitting his nails and skin ... gross , what it a skin disease
it was a very uncomfortable experience , one i dont wish to anyone
Beautiful old wing of the Hotel Okura. Quiet neighborhood between Akasaka and Roppongi. The hotel is across the street from the US embassy. Dwarfed by the modern tower portion of The Okura that opened 2019.
The service offered by hotel staffs have been delightful.
However, restaurant reservation was impossible to make since locals reserved lunch and dinner hours.
Travelers had to go outside to have meals.
Amazing service. Excellent option to visit Tokyo. Art Deco style to enjoy the older Tokyo. I would be sorry when it closes. It shouldnt actually.. what an amazing hotel and again - unbeatable service. People are amazing.
