"We have stayed at the Imperial many times now and it's still one of our favourites! The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble. Whilst it's not the smartest of hotel it is very clean and has a homely feel. We had a superior double room with sea views which were amazing. The situation is right on the seafront with the park and town a very short walk away. The grounds are lovely and we loved watching the squirrels scampering around. The breakfasts are extensive with the usual hot food and also cheeses, meats, croissants, different pastries and fresh fruit. The restaurant is also very good in the evenings with a different menu each day with a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts and very generous portions and reasonably priced. The rooms are very comfortable and the superior rooms have filter coffee machines, kettle and tea, coffee, etc."
