"We loved everything about this hotel in the charming countryside backed by mountains with views of Icelandic horses and the distant sea in front. The food at the restaurant was some of the best that we experienced in our weeklong stay in Iceland. The breakfast was complimentary with many options to choose from. Plenty of activities offered by the property including horseback riding with wonderful views from the mountaintop. The staff were extremely kind/courteous. "

"Stayed in room 102. The hotel is a beautiful log cabin design with a lot of neat touches such as the carved bears in the staircases. The room is a nice size with a mini fridge that is only big enough for a couple drinks. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great. A large variety of sweets, cereal, fresh bread and even eggs and bacon. Had no issues getting the code or opening the lockbox that held the key. Recommended. Close to Skogafoss and the amazing hike to Kvernufoss."
