"I planned a weekend trip for my wife’s birthday. When I got to the area I checked with the Front Desk (Elle) and she stated that she saw I booked thru a 3rd party (Expedia) and my room is already paid for. So all she would need is $150 for the incidentals. But when we went to do the charge the screen says that “your card will be charged for the room and the incidentals.” When I questioned her about it she kept giving me vague answers. Then she said the room will likely be ready at 3:30 PM. So I suggested that we whole off from doing the deposit for the incidentals My wife and I left to go get something to eat. When we left it was 2:37 PM and when we got back it was 3:54 PM. I asked Elle was the room ready ? And she told me not yet, I asked her for a ETA and she said the room will be ready in about 20 minutes maybe, but she can’t say for sure. So I asked her to call the housekeeping manager to see when will a room be available? I left the hotel again and then came back almost an hour later and the room still not ready. We finally got into a room and then they tried to give me any old room. But I told them that I paid for a room with a view and that is what I want. Elle, did get it corrected and she apologize for the long wait. Then when we checked into the room the door would not lock and the shower knob didn’t work. The bed was comfortable and the restaurant food was really good. We checked out 4-5 hours later in the same night. The gentleman at the front desk was polite."
