"Lovely charming pub with much history. Recently refurbished rooms were very nice, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of refreshments in room plus daily water. Pub food was lovely and normal pub prices. Breakfast was also lovely and the staff very welcoming. Our only complaint as such was that once your order for hot food breakfast or dinner is taken, it can take between 40-60 minutes to atrive. "Excellent 10 out of 10. Our 3 day Xmas period stay with our dog was from arrival absolutely superb. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful; the room was warm, comfortably and clean. The food throughout our stay was excellent with a menu to suit everyone and the Xmas lunch was fantastic. This is definitely a place to revisit."

"If you would like to experience living in a 400 year old cottage, with many original features, surrounded by so much beauty and peacefulness, then this is the place for you! I cannot recommend it enough. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by hens and cats. We were then shown to our ‘living area’, bathroom and upstairs - a double bed and bunk beds. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. There were so many extras included - books, binoculars, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/fresh...

"We stayed in Stables 2 and it was a beautiful and cosy apartment. A friendly cat greeted us and made sure we we were all settled in :) and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of red wine, cookies, a nespresso machine with four pods and firewood for the fire. The kitchen is kitted out perfectly and had everything we needed. The bathroom was nice, with a shower and spme toiletries and all very clean. We had the best sleep in the bed, which was more comfy than my own bed, so now I'm thinking...

"There are only 3 pods, which protects the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The view is exceptional and a place to truly relax. The pods offer a good standard of living space with a lovely hot shower and a really comfortable bed. The local sheep add an interesting intro to being in the countryside and lovely to watch. The pod is reached by a narrow single track road but this didn’t cause us any difficulties. The location is great for getting most places in the Dales. We will definitely be back. "

"This property is an absolute delight!!! Superb in every way. Staff are friendly, helpful, courteous. They go out of their way to accommodate. Property is immaculate!!!! Squeaky clean, warm, delightful old English charmed building in excellent condition throughout! Food is excellent, well presented and super tasty!!! A short walk opposite the property takes you to the most charming of Yorkshire market towns Howes. We will be back!!!! Great job to the whole team at Stonehouse Hotel "
