"We usually stay at Tilton Hotel brands. Usually Ampton Inns. The prices lately at that brand of hotels have been unaffordable. Not to mention that some of their properties could use a little TLC.
The Country Inn and Suites in Dunbar has us thinking about switching to Choice Hotels brand of properties! Very welcoming, room was clean and affordable. The staff is very friendly. The only thing that could use some work is the breakfast offerings."

"The customer service at this hotel is beyond amazing. I called a few days before because my scheduled arrival in Charleston was late (midnight) and I was concerned about getting a ride from the airport to the hotel. I spoke with a very nice lady named Lisa who assured me a shuttle would be available. When I arrived at the airport, there was a slight mix up with the shuttle drivers and Lisa ended up driving a shuttle to the airport herself after her shift had ended to make sure I had a ride and didn't leave me hanging! She went way above and beyond and was super nice, and even gave me some excellent recommendations for my trip to Fayetteville and the New River Gorge area. The room was nice and comfy, too, and I had everything I needed. Thank you for the excellent welcome to West Virginia! It was a wonderful experience."
