"Overall a really poor experience that I gave the team at the hotel a chance to respond directly but as that was pretty unsatisfactory - Iit should be shared here as potential guests should know. Good stuff: Low price, great staff. Bad stuff: Really dirty room, with someone elses dark black hairs all over the bath and bathroom and clearly had not been cleaned. Conditioner dispenser was broken and just refilled and clearly not checked. Rubbish left in the corridors and strwn around the lifts and not spotted or picked up. General poor smell around the 3rd floor. Room AC had two settings - off or COLD. No controls would work. The general upkeep of the rooms is poor, but I can live with that for a value prices hotel - but the lack of cleanliness isnt acceptible. "

"Very friendly staff and excellent facilities. Great to have the pool available from early morning. Only downside was the restaurant’s bizarre ‘policy’ (apparently the chef’s decision) of trying to charge £3.50 for substituting couscous with mashed potato. According to the receptionist the following day, this has now been stopped, but unfortunately too late to avoid a sour taste at the time of the meal. But well done to the waitress for taking note of our concerns and passing them on to management "

"We weren't advised there was a pool, so we didn't get to use it. Staff were all lovely, especially receptionist who booked us in. But the second lift being out of order meant we had to wait for the lift when checking out. There was a chair in our room [118] that needed joints gluing and could have collapsed, and somewhere in the bathroom is leaking damp, resulting in a few harmless fruit flies and damagedbath panel and skirting. "

"Nice hotel, quirky. Though the music in the bar/restaurant was a bit loud. Other than that a nice enough stay. Lacking in wardrobe space but okay for an overnight close to the M1. "
