"Room was nice and clean. Nice view and close to the beach. Staff was attentive and friendly. Bed was fine as well as the pillows. Beach was clean but sargassum was starting to come in once we left. The resort is within walking distance to lots of restaurants. If you want a quiet spot to sun, there is an area at the end of the 8000 building. Some cabanas that you have to rent and some beach chairs. Be aware if you are on the first floor that the roosters will be crowing just outside your door. The only complaint we had was the fans had remotes that were synced to other rooms. So your fan speed would change or the light would come on without warning. They tried to fix it in one room but it didn't work. They changed us to another room but it still happened."

"Double Queen room small. No couch. Add-ons where expensive for what you get (low quality, high price). No ice machine have to go to poolside bar for it. Food truck for food."

"The Pier House has an excellent location to Duval Street and Mallory Square, but there are numerous opportunities for improvement overall. We enjoyed our dinner entrees on our arrival night, and then drinks at the beach bar a couple of afternoons. The seaweed is a problem everywhere, but it was not raked daily at the small sandy beachfront. Our rooms had small issues that weren’t addressed until we contacted the front desk. The elevator in my building was not working properly (door closing issues). Resort fees ($60/night) and parking fees ($40/day) can really add up. The grounds are lush and beautiful. Two near-by waterfront resorts have recently been renovated, and they are vibrant, lively and welcoming, with gorgeous Key West decor. Pier House has a much more conservative, old school, and one-note feel throughout the property. "

"Property and room was very clean. Saw the staff cleaning constantly. Breakfast was great and had a lot to choose from. Pool was nice and tiki bar opened in the afternoon."

"The rooms were beautiful and roomy. The staff was super friendly as well. They do run a shuttle to and from the beach and Duval street. The hotel really is nice. Not much to do in the area but plenty to do at the hotel."
