"The room was the dirtiest room i have ever stayed in. Didn't go into my room till midnight or would have asked for a different room . Waited to see someone when i handed the keys but no-one came .the staff were lovely some of the food was nice "

"Walking distance to the shops. Steep stairs on entry and several changes in floor level within the flat. Difficult for an elderly guest. Very quiet."

"On arrival the radiator wasnt working so the lovely host moved rooms and couldnt do enough to make sure i was ok. Then threw in a couple of free beers. The staff working literally couldnt do enough to help"

"We were very pleased with the property but we had several concerns. The property description listed a dryer but there was none. If we’d known we’d have brought a clothes line and pegs. We’d advise future guests to bring some extra toilet paper (only one roll was provided). Also bring some extra dishwasher tablets (two were provided) but if you are staying for more than a few days you might need them. A dish scrubber would be handy since there were only J-clothes and a soft bristle brush. Be aware that the parking space is very tight. This can’t be helped due to the age of the area. Other than these issues we were very impressed with the property."

"It certainly has a wow factor with the tallest windows and ceilings I've seen in a small residential property. The fixtures, fittings and appliances are all high quality, (sadly lacking any manuals). Best to use what three words to locate it as the sat nav on postcode takes you to the wrong side of a wall, albeit very close to the front door. You do get some road noise from the main road due to the vented double glazing but this dies down at night so isn't an issue. All in all a great rental. "

"Very spacious well equipped cottage situated just off the main street of Barnard Castle right by the parish church. We were able to check in early, which was a big help, and when we arrived we delighted to see how spotlessly clean it was. The beds and furnishing were comfortable and would have no hesitation in reccommending the cottage to our friends and family"
