"Hotel was excellent, clean, looks like quite recently done up. Staff all very friendly and helpful. No lifts, but staff offered to carry luggage to room.
Food in restaurant was delicious and very reasonable. It was actually cheaper eating in Hotel than other places round about.
Still high season at end of September.
Was a bit dissapointed in breakfast cereal choice, as all i could find was cereal boxes. Last morning after breakfast, I found granola in a high up, top wooden bowl, with dried fruit, next to fruit juices! I'm too short to see into the top bowl! Good choice cooked breakfast. "
"A beautiful little hotel in an idyllic location - on the Drumbeg loop. Superb food and lovely, welcoming owners. Well equipped and very comfortable room. Great selection of whiskies too. Highly recommend."
"Our stay was perfect in every way. Communications between ourselves and our hosts ensured that we found the location quickly, despite Google Earth, street view trying to confuse us. Local facilities are limited. Lochinver is a small town, but with the help passed onto us by our hosts we were able to enjoy a memorable meal at a local cafe. "
"Location was superb, Space and facilities within the lodge was impressive, Staff were friendly, supportive in everyway. The Kitchens were generous, clean and well equipped. The whole establishment was fantastic "
"They said the cooker was broken however we feel that they should have had someone to repair it asap. We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices. The other thing that didn’t work was the cold water in the shower it was very dangerous if a young or old person was to use it and all that came out was boiling water. Not happy with our stay lovely setting but will it return."
"Perfect location for our half way stop on NC 500 so glad we had sunshine as the roads to the cottage would be challenging in bad weather. We did try to drive down to the beach for sunset but missed the turning and ended up stuck behind a herd of cows. It was good to light a fire have a drink and warm up a pizza. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but we forgave it because everything else was so good ( and we do usually sleep on king size vspring which is difficult to match away from home) "
