We were very happy to be able to check in an hour early, all staff was friendly. They even asked our preference of room, closer or further from the elevator. This location does not have accessible sidewalks to the minimart next door so we had to walk on the street for a short distance.

We did not enjoy waking up every few hours to blaring car alarms from the parking garage next to our room. (We stopped at the front desk today and asked for earplugs for tonight. They had a huge container of them and gave us several pairs for free.) We came for relaxation and I was looking forward to enjoying the soaking tub in the room. However, the water pressure was so slooowwwww it took close to 45 mins to fill. We resorted to using the ice bucket to transfer water from the sink into the tub to move the process along. Once I was in, I'll admit it was most delightful - exceptionally narrow - but delightful. So in an effort not to waste the water or repeat the slow filling process, we decided to keep the water in the tub for our second day. But by morning, it had all drained out. What the heck! The afternoon of day 2, my husband began the slow fill while I was in the casino. And by the time I had blown through my days $$ allotment, I returned to our room and a full, hot tub of eucalyptus scented water. (Bring your own bath salts/bubble bath). Our only other negative observation was at check-in. It seemed as slow as it took our tub to fill. With only one gal working out front, a line was forming. A second employee said that the first gal would be with us shortly, then she disappeared. I believe we all would've preferred that she stayed and help move the line along. This was our first time to Pala, chosen bc of its location to tomorrow's Spartan race.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice, accommodating & knowledgeable about the property which made checking in & finding a restaurant to eat since we checked in later than expected. The rooms were spacious & clean! The only downfall was that the housekeeper did not stop by to clean the room as we expected.

It was a great first experience at Pala. I'm sure the staff nembers have to sometimes put up with drunk rude customers every now and then but try not to let them ruin the rest of your shift. Smile and do your best to provide others to the best of your knowledge and abilities.

Very spacious and elegant rooms. Friendly check-in and staff. I enjoyed the classy restaurant Bar Meets Grill which was right across from where the elevators were. I was only disappointed in how I was charged for the room. They put a hold on my card for the price of the room before I even got to the hotel. I requested to pay at check In, but they put a hold on my card that morning. Then I was charged a second time the following morning at check out. I was charged twice for one night and no one could understand why. It was VERY inconvenient since I had plans for my money.
