"Beautiful historic building overlooking the gardens, which houses the reception, restaurant and formal drawing rooms, alongside the contemporary building where the bedrooms, gym and pool area is located.
Magnificent view of the countryside towards Faro."

"This is a nice hotel with lovely swimming pool, reasonably sized rooms and yummy buffet breakfast. There’s dinner buffet on three nights too at €29 pp bit with lots to choose so good value. There’s even a little boat to take you to the beach. The only ‘watch out’ is that there’s music all the time and lots of children entertainment. Unfortunately our room was close to the restaurant, which was good as my wife can’t walk far, but they did not tell us that there’s music etc every evening till...

"Out of this world. Aesthetically perfect. A place to really relax and switch off. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful. I would come back here again in a heartbeat. Superb."

"The Hotel is ok. Our shower was the best part of our room. To be honest, the hotel is great for one major reason … The location and convenience to Tabitha’s downtown town life without being too close. Plus the bakery around the corner was the perfect start to our afternoon walks. We won’t stay there again … it’s a one time kind of stay. If it wasn’t for the all you can eat breakfast buffet it would be a total waste … just get there first thing before it gets congested with hungry, rude patrons. Luis and his team showed consistent, high level customer service."
"Lovely hotel, all staff were really nice and helpful. The outdoor pool is a good size and well maintained . Room was a decent size too. The only small frustration was the hand soap was shower gel and there’s no milk in the room, but you can get a small jar od milk from the bar.
Location is a flat short walk (approx 15-20mins) to bars and restaurants in the village.
There’s a good selection on offer for breakfast (we only had B&B) and the staff did excellent job of keeping it all replenished.
The hotel offers a free boat transfer service to the beach, which leaves from a location about 5 walk from the hotel. You do get your feet wet getting on and off the boat and sometimes it’s up to knee height, so best to wear shoes that can get wet or be removed easily.
Various free activities on offer for health and wellbeing. Special mention to the Activities Team who were all fantastic, enthusiastic and made the holiday more enjoyable. Took part in the water zumba a couple of times, but watching it was just as fun. Would also recommend the paddle surf and no experience is needed!
Evening entertainment was varied and music went off at 23:00hrs so didn’t disturb us and we were right on top of it.
The main town of Tavira is about 6km away. There is a bus or train but these options are a good 30min walk, so a taxi is easiest option, but it’s well worth the visit.
What we really liked was there were lots of older Portuguese guests, which made a nice change to stays we’ve had"
"Great location. 8 minute drive to Cabanas, Benamor golf course and 2 minutes to central Tavira. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. Nespresso and mini fridge were great although room configuration was a tight squeeze making access to both a bit challenging.
The young man at the front desk was wonderful. The lounge, the pool and pool lounge were terrific."
"The overall impression is very good. The location is interesting and has plenty to offer for adults and/or children (adult and children’s swimming pools, a children’s playground and a kids’ club with entertainers and its own programme, a spa with a jacuzzi and a massage room, a bar open until 1 am, evening dancing, and a large area for walks) + the pink salt lakes nearby and a private shuttle to Tavira Island. Apart from the fact that the décor is rather dated and the room lacks the amenities you’d expect from a 4* hotel (no kettle, coffee machine or toiletries such as cotton buds or mosquito nets, and the air conditioning is about 25 years old), we were very pleased with our stay. I’d like to highlight the wide variety of food on offer for both breakfast and dinner – it’s very tasty and there’s something for everyone. And, of course, we were delighted and grateful to receive an unexpected and lovely birthday gift – a small cake with a limited-edition bottle of chilled white wine. I’d recommend staying for more than just one night."
"Our upstairs, traditional style studio apartment was clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom suite. We had a lovely, large private balcony. We managed ok but the stone stairs are narrow and steep - cases up on arrival and down on check-out were a challenge! Room servicing is regular with just 2 days off. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Pool is large and deep at one end - a proper swimming pool. Plenty of space for beds, and lots of shade with umbrellas, trees and the restaurant canopy. Bar and restaurant have tasty options and daily specials - at fairly reasonable prices. It is a family and pet friendly resort. Safe and quiet, plenty of parking, or even bikes to rent. Handy on-site Supermarket. All set in well maintained gardens, yet some of the access pathways are uneven and loose, meaning you have to keep your eyes down at all times! This was our 4th time staying here and we will definitely be back."
