"The staff was outstanding! Yorya, Dylan and Andrea were consistently personable, friendly, and particularly helpful, answering all of our questions and assisting us with virtually all of our plans! The location in Palm Beach Estates was ideally situated, where a short walk on a shaded path led to a wonderful, expansive and nearly private beach. The grounds at Hotel El Manglar were quite lush and well maintained. The swimming pool and surrounding deck areas were equally well maintained. Our room had a small kitchen which was well-equipped, offering us everything we needed for light meals and beverages. Our room was comfortable and clean, with linens and supplies replenished every other day. The bed was quite well-dressed and comfortable. We were worried about not having a car during our stay and discovered that it was not an issue! An 18 minute walk south on the beach brought us to an estuary system, which was easily crossed by water taxi ($2.00 U.S,), dropping us into the bustling beach town of Tamarindo. Its streets were lined with a variety of restaurants and quaint beach shops featuring local artisans and souvenirs. Once there, we could easily reach a bank and 2 small grocery stores. We took 3 excursions that required transportation, and those arrangements were seamlessly handled by the wonderful El Manglar staff (mentioned above). We very much hope that a return trip will be in our not-too-distant future! Pura-Vida!"

"Absolutely stunning property! The infinity pool was amazing with its view of the Pacific Ocean. We are so thrilled to have found this location. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a rattling AC in our room. We called up as we were heading out to dinner and by the time we got back it was all fixed. Every room has an ocean front balcony. This really made our trip great. "

"I wish I could truly put into words how amazing this place is! Dan and his pups were the perfect hosts!! My fiancée and I came in on Christmas Eve of all days and he went out of his way to make sure we knew where to stop since we were coming in late and was there to greet us. Dan is an amazing guy and we even made sure to take him out for a New Years Eve dinner downstairs at Cuckoo’s Nest just to try and show our appreciation (highly recommend the restaurant and some time with Dan- incredible story). About the place- we are adventurers so we weren’t in the room (room 8) all that much but the pictures online don’t do the rooms justice. A full kitchen stocked with all of the cooking utensils you need. Coffee maker, toaster, etc. are all there as well. If you want to cook and stay in- you have a spacious room with a kitchen, nice TV, great bed, awesome patio, and AC. I would highly recommend getting out and trying the restaurant downstairs or the others just a short walk down the way. If you need anything Dan is THE MAN! He had many recommendations and connections with things to do and people to call. If you couldn’t tell by now… I am a talker… all of this information was asked for and never once did Dan seem overbearing. He was there whenever we needed! Also… this location is fantastic. Not the chaos in Tamarindo. Peaceful. Safe. A quick walk to the beach. A shop/market down below. Restaurants within smelling distance. And GREAT people. 10/10 would recommend Palm Beach Inn!"
