"Very clean and very comfortable. They are very vague about you putting everything back. Does it mean you have to wash all of your dishes and put them back exactly? Communication was lacking. Of the two emails I sent, I never got a response. I left some stuff there and asked if it was found and they decided not to answer me. I ended up leaving it there so I suppose someone else is not enjoying it."

There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. "This property has no staff onsite. So you have no ability to leave luggage before check in or after checkout, so you have to use the lockers at the train station. Email on entry was confusing and required a call. I observed similar struggles with other guests. Checkin is all via keypad. Room was a nice size, had a kitchen, and sitting area (cushions were stained). Location to the train station was nice, but it is not bar any hot springs or other attractions. "

"Very special property that we loved. We stayed in January and esp loved the onsen and subfloor heating. Check in was easy enough because there was the option of online pre-registration. The road to the house was windy but not too bad - note that the GPS in the rental car may not show you the way. We used Google maps and got there without difficulty. We were thankful to have a 4WD and snow tires, because there was ice on parts of the road. Highly recommend the place!"

"Great location if you’re visiting Hyotan Onsen etc. En-suite showers are a little small, and the hot water isn’t very hot (which is strange for a hotel with a hot spring). Not a big deal though because you could just go downstairs and shower in the on site hot spring. The Rooms had a great view of the city and the sea. Overall pretty decent place."
